                                                      Days In Dawson

As for my whole trip, Dawson was the place I started at! It was a wonderful place and had many options and things to do. The land was beautiful, and all the colored houses made it amazing to look at.

My first day in Dawson City started off with me going to two museums on Monday. They where both very beautiful museums and full of information. The first museum was Jack London Museum, I began exploring at 1:00 pm and left at around 2:00 pm. To take a self tour it was $5 per person, it was worth $5! The Jack London Museum is a replica of a famous writers house, Jack London. The museum contains photos, documents, and newspaper articles.

At the end of my exploration of the Jack London Museum I headed to my next destination which was the Dawson City Museum. This museum was quit different than the other one as it was much larger and had a different focus! It was more focused on the history of Dawson and about the famous mine in Dawson city! The museum was fun to explore and had some amazing artifacts to look at, and examine. I started my tour around 3:00 pm and ended at 6:00 pm, I paid $9 for one ticket for myself. At the end of my tour I decided to go and check in to my hotel room I booked for two nights in Bonanza Gold Motel. The motel was $279 for two nights and was a pretty nice hotel room overall!

As for the next morning I chose to go to the Gold Fields and Mine Tour! It was an amazing experience, and was really fun to do. It was pretty pricey but very worth it. We found lots of gold, zine, lead, and silver while on the trip. They let us go in the water and rocky area and taught us how to find, and how to tell what kind of mineral it is. The tour started at around 8:15 am and ended at 1:00 pm. I headed back to my hotel room later on that night, after getting gas.

Dawson overall gets lots of rain all through the year. Half the town is below sea level and has flooded over 22 times.
